Weatherby Lake Yacht Club Jr. Sailing Program

Tradition

Since 1990, children have learned to sail throughout the summer at C-Point.  Our program has grown from a "bring your own boat" program to a fleet of 15 boats.  Over the years our students have progressed through lessons and traveled around the world using their sailing skills in leisure and racing opportunities.  Team Weatherby has made its mark as they have traveled the midwest and participating in regattas with other jr. sailing programs.  

Instructors

We are proud to have USA Sailing Certified Instructors running our program.   In addition, all of our instructors are graduates of our own program, passing on traditions and continuing the close connection with the Weatherby Lake Community that has made us successful over the past 40 years.  

Team Weatherby

Students who progress to the Advanced Racing course are considered part of Team Weatherby and are invited to participate in Sunday races at Weatherby, as well as encouraged to travel to races around the country.
